Sockapaloooza socks received!

Well, they actually got here on Thursday, but between not being able to find the camera cable and a hectic weekend, this is the first I’ve gotten to post about them.
My Sockpal was none other than FluffyKnitterDeb, whose blog I read regularly. Imagine my surprise when I opened the package and it was someone who I read - it’d be like getting a package from the author of a favorite book. The yarn is Twinkletoes Handpaint by Over the Rainbow Yarns, I don’t know if this is a commercial pattern or one she made up. I’m betting on the latter, she’s a pretty creative knitter! The pattern is Lacy Scallops (PDF) from Sockbug. I just love the colors and the lace pattern, which totally doesn’t show up in my picture. She took a much better picture of them before she sent them to me.

Wow!! They are a perfect fit!! And they look great on you! I was worried they wouldn’t fit as well as they do!
See now, if you read me everyday you’d know the pattern is Sockbug’s Lacy Scallops! I just thought the lace with the picot edge looked so perfect in that juicy color! Enjoy them Jess!

The socks are cute!
I wish I was taking classes, but figured since my little guy is such a cluster nurser now I’d better wait ’till next year. I’ve yet to work out how to nurse and spin!
