Thank you to everyone who had kind words for me when I posted about my grandma’s failing health a few weeks ago. She passed away peacefully this morning at home.

We’re doing okay so far, although Arlo had a really rough night last night and a rough morning today - I think he knew something was up. He had a pretty strong connection to my grandma, and I was wondering in the back of my head if she was passing. Guess I was onto something there, eh?

    Jess,

    I was so surprised to hear of Mary’s passing– especially since we just talked this morning. I know these past few years have been difficult for our families with the tremendous amount of loss; I am consoled by the thought of our generation bringing new partners and babies into the fold to keep our family strong and alive. Mary was such a wonderful person to be around; I know she will be sorely missed. I’m glad she and Howard are together again, their love and marriage was an inspiration to us all.
