What are your favorite colors? I’ll wear just about any color on my feet, but I love reds, oranges, greens…

Are you a new sock knitter? How long have you been knitting socks? I’ve been knitting socks for about 5 years or so, so I’d definitely *not* consider myself a new sock knitter!

Do you prefer solid or multicolored yarn? Yes! Either is lovely - solids for fancy, fiddly patterns and multicolored for more simple ones.

What fibers do you prefer in sock yarn? Wool with a touch of nylon in it. Wool with mohair also would be nice, though I don’t think I’ve used that combination yet.

Where do you usually knit socks? Everywhere - it’s the perfect project to stuff in the diaper bag when I leave, the perfect project for watching tv/reading blogs/listening to music/etc.

How do you usually carry/store small projects? If I’m going out with the kids, it goes in the diaper bag. If I’m alone, it goes into one of my 981731236 cloth bags.

What are your favorite sock knitting patterns? Pattern? What is this that you speak of? I usually work from measurements rather than using a pattern. I’ve recently enjoyed knitting the Jaywalkers, a pair of Elfine’s socks, and there are more than a couple Sockbug patterns on my list.

What are your favorite sock knitting techniques? Two circulars, toe-up

What new techniques would you like to try? Um… I haven’t the faintest idea!

Do you prefer circulars or dpns for sock knitting? Circulars, though DPNs have their place.

What are some of your favorite yarns? All of them! I’ve recently used Socka, Opal, Regia, and have fond memories of working with Wildfoote and Lorna’s Laces.

What yarn do you totally covet? Some of ScoutJ’s Appletini or some Socks That Rock in any colorway

Any pattern you would love to make if money and time were no object? I haven’t a clue. Probably something Fair Isle-inspired

Favorite kind of needles (brand, materials, straights or circs, etc)? Addi Turbos, baby! If I’m working on DPNs, I prefer bamboo or birch

If you were a specific kind of yarn, which brand and kind of yarn would you be? Probably Cascade 220 - a workhorse yarn that’s not flashy but works wonderfully for many things.

Do you have a favorite candy or mail-able snack? Chocolate, though it wouldn’t be advisable to mail it during the summer. Otherwise, not really.

What’s your favorite animal? Sheep, duh! Cats, too

Do you have pets? What are their species/names/ages? Four cats - Kissa, 8yo; Max, 7yo; Mimi, 7yo; and Elvis, 4yo

If you were a color what color would you be? Red

Describe your favorite shirt (yours or someone else’s) Black hemp jersey v-neck t-shirt. No printing or embellishment. Hemp jersey is SUCH a nice fabric!

What is your most inspiring image, flower, or object in nature? A pregnant woman or a newborn baby
